| Haida Gwaii & Inside Passage - 2022-08
Scenes around the old Haida village at K'uuna Llnagaay. Again, the section where the bent wood box was placed. Emily Carr had visited this village and painted totem poles in the day. Now the poles - mortuary poles - had fallen. We saw remains of long houses with sunken sections. James, our guide, had been a watchman. The trip back was a bit rough as we bounced off the tops of 2-foot waves. |
