Photo Date 15/6/13 10:22:05 AM Greece Holiday 2013-06-15 Naxos Day Another walk to chora taking in different sights, much like we do when we wander in downtown Victoria. Every morning that we stopped at Rendezvous for our coffee and snack the local gendarmes would walk along and check for illegally parked cars - there were ALWAYS illegally parked cars belonging to the groups of men sitting and drinking coffee and smoking for hours. The gendarmes would blow their whistles and one of the men would go and talk with them and they would go on their way - all a sham to make it look like they were doing their job. |
