Day 35 - Wellington to Nelson
Took the InterIslander Ferry (about the same as a BC ferry) from Wellington to Picton - 3 1/2 hour trip with nice calm weather. Lo and behold in Picton we found the Volendam.
Drove along a twisty-turny road called the Queen Charlotte Drive ( 32 km and avg speed was quite low - lots of 35 kph curves) and ended up in Havelock followed by Nelson, a quaint seaside village that is very busy with tourists in the summer. Walked around town to the Cathedral and actually did some shopping.
