Day 10 - Highlights of Oahu Tour
Nuuanu Pali Lookout - site where an important battle took place between Hawaiian warriors. The defeated group leapt to their death from this cliff (pali = cliff). The route over the mountains here was the only land passage from Honolulu to the other side of O'ahu.
An interesting bus tour around Oahu with about 15 other tourists. Driver was very informative and there were many stops. Due to the traffic it was hard to take photos while moving. Drove past some very expensive - like $100M+ properties. Beaches looked very inviting, but the dangers were also apparent.
