Panama Canal Cruise - Miami 19 April 2008
We drove from Palatka to Miami on the 18th. The drive took most of the day and was easy going until we got close to city center at which point the freeways became slow-ways. Noticed that the Orange Bowl was being torn down.
We met up with Bill & Hilda Muir at the La Quinta West Motel near the airport and went out to eat at a Lebanese-Greek restaurant.
The next day we went to visit Vizcaya (interior photos were not allowed - this is the only one...). Later we used the rental car to take drive around the Miami area - along the beaches and some of old Miami - after going back to retrieve GG's MC which he had left at the restaurant the night before. At lunch and that night we ate at a charming Spanish restaurant close to the hotel.
