Panama Canal Cruise - 2008
Victoria International Airport

We took the shuttle from the Ocean Pointe Hotel a few blocks from our place -- light rain and cool. Gordon drove the bags to the pickup location, returned the car to our parkade and then walked back for the 7 AM bus. Easy checkin at about 7:40. It is nice to have a small airport sometimes!

Calgary airport was a bit hectic. Once we got to the correct area to pick up our luggage for U.S. customs we feared they had not made the flight. A nice WestJet attendant phoned around and suddenly the bags popped up. We were in a long line to pass the customs agents and when we dropped the bags on the conveyor belt it was just 10 minutes to flight departure time. We got to the gate and were the last people on the plane.... but our attendant was at the gate to assure us our bags would be on the plane with us - and they were! Thank Goodness!
