Zion National Park - South Entrance
Photo Date 5/10/07 1:10:22 PM Nevada, Arizona, Colorado & Utah -- 2007 Trip - Flagstaff & St George The South entrance to Zion National Park is the most frequented by visitors. One has to park at the entrance and take a bus to the scenic part of the Park. The main part of the park is in a narrow canyon with towering cliffs on each side. We had an overcast, windy day for our visit but in most areas we were protected and the hikes were easy and enjoyable. After lunch the Maytains took a hike along the upper path to the Middle Emerald Pool Trail while the Greeniaus' took the Lower Emerald Pool Trail which went along the cliff under the pools and under a little waterfall.
