Anasazi Pueblo Ruins at Mesa Verde National Park
Cliff Palace
As this is the major set of pueblo ruins we started here for the guided tour. We returned to the area along the road later in the day when the light was on the ruins.
We started with an educational presentation and discussion before descending down to the site.
The exit from the site was via wood ladders. One could see the 'toe-holds' in the rock faces that the natives used -- no ladders for them!
The drive from Mund's Park through Monument Vally took us past Four Courners to the town of Cortez where we stayed for two nights
