Scenes Around Mt. St. Helens

Mt. St. Helens, Wa, USA - 6 Oct 2005
During the trip from Olympia to Longview we made a side excursion up to Mt. St. Helens, hoping that the weather would allow us to get a glimpse of the peak. As we progressed along the road the clouds got thicker and thicker. The kicker was after the feature film when the screen and curtain covering the window lifted - to expose a magnificent view of Mt. St. Helens - and all we saw was a solid expanse of white. It was still worth the trip because the information centres were fascinating.
