Cowichan Wine Festival - 2 Oct 2005
First Nation people fishing for salmon from a bridge - there was one salmon on the sidewalk where we were standing. They use spears to catch the fish and employ modern techniques to help - they wore polaroid glasses to eliminate glare.
We took a trip up island for the first annual Cowichan Wine Festival. We stopped at several vinyards, the most interesting being the Cherry Point Vinyard where we had a delicious mini-meal of BBQ salmon
