Songhees Walkway
Photo Date 2005-10-01, 11:18:29 Victoria, BC - 1 Oct 2005 This was once one of the tallest totems made, but since it was deemed to be a navigation hazard for the seaplanes the totem was cut into several pieces. Two equally tall parts were moved elsewhere. First day of Jean-Louis and Karen Maytains visit to Victoria. We took advantage of the beautiful, sunny day to take a long walk -- Songhees Walkway, Market Square and Bastion Square in the downtown area. We then continued to the causeway in front of the Empress Hotel and the Legislative Building, Laurel Point and Fishermans Wharf, Dallas Road to Ogden Point where we had lunch.
