After leaving Florida we were faced with the conundrum of wanting to go to New Orleans, but not wanting to face the hordes of people during mardi gras. We decided to pass on New Orleans and bypassed it, heading a bit to the north where we would be able to go on a tour of some antebellum houses. On arriving in Natchez we found that we were one day too early for the tours so we walked around the town and had to be satisfied with exterior views.
