Vancouver Island Regional Science Fair
April 5-7, 2008 Lisa MacQuarrie did a project on the use of recycled plastic to strengthen adobe bricks. This was a very sophisticated project for a Grade 5 student. She was awarded one of the Rotary Environment prizes and she was second overall in the junior age group. The Rotary judges had a very hard time choosing between Lisa's project and Katherine Evans' study of possible pollution in Rithet's Bog. Photo Date 2008-04-07, 10:44:53 |
