Ruins of the ancient town of Ephesus. Ephesus was a major commercial port 2000 years ago. Over time, silt from the river filled the port and the sea is now several kilometers from the town. Only about 10-20% of the town has been excavated. The most magnificent part of the ruins is the Library of Celcius. Remains of the Trajan Fountain |
