Day 36 - Punakaiki
Stopped at Tahananui Beach near Nelson before setting of on the road to the Pancake Rocks and Blowhole at Punakaiki on the West Coast. Lovely scenery through the mountains and along the coast.
The Pancake Rocks are visibly layered sandstone like stacks of crepes. Saw interesting birds - terns of various types and several Weka birds which look a lot like Kiwis without the long bill.
